Creating a neutral space, the main function of which is to be the background for an artwork, is always a challenge for the architect. Often, even in fashionable metropolitan galleries, the design solution is limited to leveling the walls and buying gallery light. The architect of the Liga art gallery in Kolomna near Moscow (Lazhechnikova St., 5) approached the task with particular trepidation: the gallery has been waiting for its building for ten years. The dilapidated building of the XIX century was restored in record time. On the ground floor you can place several expositions. In the attic there is an office and a hall decorated with a Paris photo cycle by architect Vitaly Khitrov. The elegant image of the gallery is completed with a mirrored stand, ergonomic furniture by Philippe Starck and custom made cubic lamps.
