Aesthetics “A studio apartment is by definition integral, undifferentiated, it requires the same integral and laconic design solution. Therefore, while working on the project, I consciously walked along the path of minimalism, rejecting the diversity of styles and forms. The floor covering ( porcelain stoneware), smooth walls without decor, a single color palette (combination of gray, black, red) - such techniques provided stylistic uniformity. Black smalt inserts (small mosaic) that appear in the decoration of the living room walls and uhni, made the necessary rhythmic variety. In addition, the contrast of shimmering glazes and matte surface of the walls gave a wealth of textures effect. "Practice “The apartment is small, so the space needed to be furnished extremely rationally. This is how a closet emerged from a special niche, a semicircular cantilever stand replacing the dining table, a podium with leather pillows in the living room, which serves as a seating area for guests during the day It serves as a bed. Practical considerations played a significant role in the choice of materials, because this apartment is not a family nest, but rather a bachelor shelter. It takes a minimum of time. Ceramics, leather, metal ... all these materials are not only beautiful, but also durable, easy to clean and wash, in short, do not require hassle. In general, an apartment style was born of a conglomeration of aesthetic and practical tasks : minimalistic, somewhat brutal, I would say self-sufficient, fully responding to her bachelor's essence. "Dmitry Ozeriansky: "Although the apartment is located in the historical center of St. Petersburg, there is nothing historical in it. This interior is somewhat like a good modern car: everything is thought out in it, comfortable, functional and aesthetically sound."
