An autumn MaisonObjet was held from September 2 to September 6 in Paris — the world's main exhibition of decor

The key concept of the season proclaimed House of Games. Translate it costs more as a "house – game", a space built according to the laws of the game. For comparison: last year the theme of the September exhibition was “New Luxury”, and the January topic was “Primordiality” (wildlife, ethnic design, naturalness). So, further away from luxury and deeper into the forest, where there is more and more firewood ... This year, the French, lawmakers of decorative fashion, beat both previous topics at once, mixing them according to the law of philosophical cocktail and proposing new reality - in the literal and figurative sense. The gaming space is largely a reflection of the Carroll art world (truly, there is nothing new!), With its tricks, riddles, chess images, reality shifts, fantastic animals, strange portraits of strange “relatives” and incomprehensible toys on the shelves. In addition, the interior in the style of Game is akin to carnival motifs, theatrical attributes — for example, draperies that resemble balagan houses for street performances. Another trend closely related to the gaming theme is the Circus. We saw tents in the domes of the dome, acrobats on trapezes, clown colors of fabrics, wallpapers, showcases with dishes, placed on an improvised arena ... Of course, all these tendencies do not work directly in the interior practice of decorators: the exhibition must be properly “read” and correctly perceived — just at the level of emotions, sensations. It would be right if we perceive the visual images offered here as intellectual tasks and find their own solutions for them. What do we take in our own interiors, looking at the fair of this very French exhibition? Contrasting combinations of rich colors (turquoise, blood-red, black in tandem with white), objects of modern art as if not the main course, then dessert, drama as a stylistic approach, open expression of feelings as a basic message to the “spectator” —that is to myself first and foremost. So, entertainment and theatricality do not literally understand and do not put the street organ and chess boards in the middle of the living room. Try to understand yourself and express your ideas about happiness — about the happiness of living, about the joy of creating, eating, socializing, relaxing, being alone with yourself or welcoming guests. If the emotion is precisely formulated, which will become the basis for the interior, then the objective environment will be drawn to it — you will find everything. With the help of a personal decorator, he visits all the exhibitions and understands the intricacies of French interior design.
