The office office of the St. Petersburg gaming machine manufacturer is ideally suited for the word "office". The factory building, built in the middle of the XIX century in the "brick" style, has gained a new life, but this is still the factory office, which employs the top management of the company. The first floor has undergone a very minor renovation. The self-sufficiency of the space required one thing from the architects: minimal intervention. The main aesthetic argument in defense of such a strategy is the brutal beauty of naked structures. The ribs of the overlappings, illuminated by a glow-illuminated light, set a clear rhythm. The floor is made of brick with granite inserts - an ideal companion for austere wall decoration. Every square meter of space is perceived as a museum piece, there are genuine masterpieces here - carefully restored metal stairs. One of them, one-sided, with cast steps, leads to the second floor. It is here that the "office" is located - a spacious room in which, along with the reception room, there are offices of directors. Austere and discreet interior to 20-30 years The twentieth century, a prototype to be found in London and New York, the main world reserves Art Deco. The effect of this style is most vividly manifested in the proportions and the pattern of wooden partitions separating the cabinets. The upper zone of the partitions is transparent, the luminaires can be viewed through the glass and visually unite the space. When choosing furniture, preference was given to companies specializing in the reconstruction of historical samples - this is SELVA and GRANGE. The final touch is photographs taken by architect Andrei Kurochkin in London: the Battersea Power Station building as a manifesto for factory architecture that has earned the right to a new life.
