Architects Bastrichyov built a house near Kiev for themselves. The family shared responsibilities: Vadim was responsible for planning decisions, Elena - for the interior. As a result, the mansion turned out both spectacular and cozy.

Tells Elena Bastrichova: “The object we got is, of course, a family one. We bought a house with all communications. My husband Vadim was engaged in volumetric design, and I designed the interior. Vadim here acted for me in the role of the customer - he expressed his wishes, coordinated the situation. Something I picked up without him. We worked for ourselves and tried to solve everything quickly so as not to "drown" in construction. " Vadim wanted the interior to be in calm colors. Elena chose a beige-sand flavor. The tone sets the fabric, which decorated the walls in most areas: on a beige background is a black pattern, light, elegant, reminiscent of vignette. This fabric serves as a unifying motif. A few shades lighter, already in the ocher gamut, the tile was selected, which lined the floors in all rooms. The tile pattern imitates parquet. They chose this difficult way because the whole house had water heating and it was impossible to close the floor itself from a technical point of view.

The situation, on the contrary, chose a darker one. And even more modern. Like, for example, big black leather sofas (Duresta) strict, correct lines - are in the living room - or a bookcase in the office. Helen says that the same element can be interpreted differently. “Here, for example, the sconce on the wall in the living room,” she comments. - We love this model very much and often use it in our projects. She is in a difficult finish - with gilding, silvering. In the same interior, I picked up sconces, painted black. If the gilded models produce a “triumphant” impression, set up a palace mood, then such black and matte ones are associated with a respectable but calm interior. ”

In the summer, all home life moves to a large terrace, which passes into the patio. On hot days, it also serves as a living room, dining room, cinema and even a bedroom. At first it was supposed to be used for chamber, family holidays. But for the second year various events have been held here. The Bastrichevs gather friends from the professional community — architects, journalists — on so-called subbotniks. “We made the first such meeting last year,” says Elena. - It went well and fun, and this year we decided to repeat it. Suddenly, for us, the house itself became the epicenter of social life. ”

Project author Elena Bastrichova: “We mainly design luxurious, ceremonial interiors, in which there is a lot of gilding and crystal. The same house was made for itself, not on display. It is calmer, neither absolutely classic, nor absolutely modern. There is something in it from ar-deko. The interior turned out to be in a good sense monotonous - without pretentiousness, variegation and intrusiveness. Dark colors dominate. A lot of black, the lightest color I allowed is beige
