The organizers brought to St. Petersburg the most iconic objects created by the Italian genius from the postwar period to the present day. The exhibits are presented in chronological order and acquaint visitors with all the major periods in Italian design. Each of the 100 objects in itself is a legend: the Vespa motor scooter, the Lexicon 80 typewriter Marcello Nicezoli, the Tolomeo lamp from ARTEMIDEBlow inflatable chair. In a city half built by Italian architects, these “icons” should feel at home.
