"... the paper dolls with which girls play are touchingly cute. You tear a small lotus leaf in the pond and admire it! And small leaves of mallow! In general, everything small touches with its charm" Sei-Senagon, "Notes at the head" Here, obviously, someone lives. I wonder who? - I can not imagine. And Marina Alekseeva, a St. Petersburg artist, the creator of these cozy worlds, also does not represent. Inhabitants of the rooms are not shown on the eyes, only slippers are left. Maybe they are at work now? Or maybe hiding? With the help of her mock artists, Marina Alekseeva helps us to feel more deeply the charm of All Little. According to the artist, her works are, in fact, the same children's "secrets". However, unlike their "ancestors", they conceal not photos of pussies, but interiors of rooms that hide not in the ground, but in the walls of our, human, apartments. And what is interesting is that in the depths of some of them an exit is planned to the Other Space - Inner, Large. Here is a clear demonstration of the statement that any change in the scale of perception completely changes the meaning of the world. The laws of tension and perspectives change; patterns of feelings change; the meaning of the source materials is turned upside down - the carnation becomes a powerful column, the slide is a TV-screen, the rag is a velvety curtain, etc. And everything in these interiors seems real - until you know what THAT is done of. You start to wonder when you find out.
