In order to design new objects in old buildings, you need a special talent. The main thing, introducing a new, not to spoil the old. The favorite place of residents of Riga - Tiramisu restaurant (Gertrudes street, 32) - is located on the first floor of a six-story building built in 1910 by architect Eizen Laube. In the premises of the former pharmacy, the author of the project had to redo much, but he still tried to avoid the traces of total and violent modernization. Walls and floors laid out with multicolored tiles, cast-iron radiators, aged mirrors give the interior a look not at a fashionable restaurant, but a very large cozy kitchen, from which you don’t want to go and think about how and what has been done.
