Before you is a restaurant-club "Kafka", which is a so-called "red wardrobe", or a place for jazz lovers. Designers Yuri Andreev and Evgeny Miklash were repelled in their work from the style of New York jazz clubs of the 30s-40s. Cracks are simulated on the walls, previous painting, non-plastered masonry shines through. The mood is exacerbated by multi-layered painting with the profile of jazz musician Monk, made by Lithuanian artists. "And what about Kafka?" - ask the most incongruous. We answer. Approximately at the level of mezzanines the room seems to be cut across and slightly shifted to the side. Hence the tattered cornice, broken columns and pilasters, reminiscent of the recent disaster. In general, a little Kafka in the sea of jazz (plus the furniture of design by Philippe Starck, Le Corbusier and Gropius) - and it turned out stylish, original and very “on the topic”.
