House-catamaran, designed by architect V.I. Plotkin, well known in professional circles as one of the best apartment buildings in Moscow. Andrei Gorozhankin believes that this is a truly European home. With his work - the interior in this house - Andrei is satisfied and speaks about it with undisguised enthusiasm and warmth.House named The modern facade looks like a continuous glazing in a small park. External architecture continues the traditions of Russian constructivism. And it is in this house that the modern, clean, bright interior is doubly relevant.Gallery apartment - I liked the customers themselves - a middle-aged family, and the idea of an apartment-gallery. The fact is that the owner ordered an interior in which the home collection of art objects would fit in well. The second wish - to maintain privacy in a small area - defined the principles of zoning.Drawing rules - The apartment is small, for two people. Conditions for the architect are excellent: free planning, the possibility of including a loggia in the living area is provided. We built the interior on the principles that at one time influenced the formation of the artistic avant-garde of the 1920s: in particular, the aesthetics of the De Style group, the linear structure of the plan and the diagonal directions in space. For example, "De Style" is clearly felt in the interior of the living room: upholstered furniture, a dining room group, a fireplace with an armchair are involved in the rhythm of horizontal and vertical surfaces, direct and diagonal "vectors".Natural values - The customer wanted the apartment to be very bright. And many planning and constructive solutions are aimed precisely at “lightening” the space. In general, we tried to make sure that during the day, absolutely all of the apartment, including the corridor, had enough natural light, even in cloudy weather. One wall in the living room is completely transparent - from floor to ceiling. As a result, there is a lot of light. In the corridor, the upper part of the wall is made of glass, and daylight freely penetrates here from the kitchen and living room. Even the doors to the bedroom let in daylight while maintaining the privacy of the room: a silk fabric is inserted between the double glazing. The color scheme also expresses a “bright view of things”: natural tones emphasize the charm, the primordial nature of natural materials - stone, wood, flax. Objects of art belonging to different epochs and artistic trends perfectly fit into such an environment: art and sculpture of the modernist era, modern author's light and the architectural concept itself. The picturesque park next to the house is magnificent at any time of the year: the transparent wall in the living room frames the living picture, and the mirrored sides of the columns in the living room reflect the landscape in another plane - it turns out to be “a lot of nature out of nothing”.Evening dress - The evening look of the apartment, i.e. the image that arises under artificial light is completely different than during the day. We have developed this topic separately. In order not to just turn on the light in the evening, but to get much more - a completely different space. The magic of light lies in that: it changes the character of space, sets a chamber or festive atmosphere. For example, lighting is built into the baseboard in the corridor, and when you turn it on, the walls and the floor look mysterious and attractive - I would even say, somehow "club". Another type of lighting, a sconce, gives a beam of light directed upwards and a thin beam downward, likening the corridor to an internal street lit by torches. Another scenario is the “Last Supper”: only a large “petal” glows above the dining table, emitting “warm” diffused light. This soft lighting is for family dinner.Best medicine - One third of life a person spends in the bedroom. Therefore, it is made as calm as possible, with a slight oriental accent: “warm” cherry furniture, natural olive color of sisal in the wall decoration, Indian brocade hand-woven coverlet, canopy-lamp over the headboard. Taconoma - a special niche in a Japanese house where a family heirloom is kept or flowers stand that correspond to the seasons - is arranged in the bedroom near a small window at the head of the bed. Contemplation of beauty and harmony with nature is the best medicine for the soul.Andrei Gorozhankin: “Creating an interior, I try to imagine different life situations in this house and search for an adequate spatial form for them. The composition of a modern house is a“ landscape ”that is made up of different functional parts of space into something whole. Therefore, the main task is to create the general atmosphere of the house. .
