Lithuanian architects from the studio Arches created the interior of the apartment-clouds. And here everything corresponds to this atmospheric object: the character is changeable, the lines are rounded, and the color is white

Vilnius. 18th floor. Dizzying view of the city through the panoramic windows. What should be the interior of a modern apartment for a person who will stay in it only during his city visits? The architects proposed to make a studio apartment, in which the single space of the bedroom and living room is as open as possible towards the city, and the view from the windows is the main one. Considerable height prompted the image of a light, almost weightless interior, the dominant color of which was white. Space geometry also works on the idea of "cloudiness" invented by architects. Circles and circles, initially or intentionally created, are added to a single plastic motif. It is readable both in the barely noticeable smooth line of the glazed facade, and in the supporting columns, harmoniously integrated into the interior thanks to the form, and in the smooth transition of the central wall to the floor and ceiling, and finally, in the rounded pieces of furniture, the most expressive of which is a bed with surrounding fabric drapery.

Interesting and the structure of space. Among the shining, ready to "dissolve" planes is a stabilizing element that looks like an island or a raft, the floor made of light ash wood. It emphasizes the integrity of the interior and creates a feeling of stability and tranquility. The temporary housing genre involves the reduction of ancillary facilities in favor of a spacious seating area. In this case, the compact kitchen and workplace with a desk are located along one of the walls and are separated from the living room by sliding matt white walls, which are illuminated in the dark, turning into a giant built-in lamp. The idea of such a transformable multi-space fits well with this concept. The interior is prone to transformations. So, the feeling of discomfort from excessive openness disappears, one has only to close the window drapes, where soft lighting is also provided. And in the evenings the apartment turns into a fabulously luminous place between heaven and earth.

Project author Arunas Liola: "We came up with a scenario for this apartment, according to which it was supposed to turn out bright, light, hovering over the city and dissolving in the sky. And everything here tends to correspond to this scenario"
