In this neoclassical interior there are elements of baroque, modern, ar-deko. For designers, the complexity of the creative task was to preserve a sense of proportion in the process of mixing styles.

The peculiarity of the design concept Yulia Ostapenko In many respects determined such factors as the layout of the apartment and the location of the building. The apartments are located on the 12th floor of the Kiev new building, from the windows of which there are beautiful views of the architectural monuments of the ancient city. Therefore, the decision of the authors of the project to rely on historical styles in their work is quite logical.

The apartment is clearly divided into three zones - public, private parent and private nursery. All of them are united by an octahedral hall, in the center of which there is a table with a floral composition. A remarkable detail of the hall can be called a crystal chandelier, reflected in the ceiling, decorated with mirror panels with a baroque pattern. The passage from the hall to the public area (living room, fireplace, kitchen) was decided in the form of a carved portal.

“The living room has the shape of a sector circle. Therefore, the most difficult in its design was to achieve uniform lighting in the room - says the author of the project Julia Ostapenko. - We decided to install in the caissons of the ceiling overhead crystal lamps with brightness adjustment mode. So it is possible to realize both a solemn lighting scenario and a more intimate one. ” The walls in the public area are covered with fabric and decorated with wooden painted panels with carved details on the portals and pylons. In this space, there are many antique details - watches, paintings, figurines, candlesticks. A modern, high-tech kitchen can be seen from the living room through a glazed opening. The rear panel of the working area, solved in the form of a LED panel, is actually a functional installation.

Private parent unit includes a bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. The bedroom is designed in the Baroque style and solved in a warm pastel range. The finishing of the bathroom is based on a combination of glass mosaic and marble, from which the stairs, steps, floor and wall panels are made. In the opposite wing of the apartment there are two children's rooms and a bathroom.

Thus, the authors managed to successfully solve the main creative task - to organize the harmonious interaction of styles in the space of an apartment and to maintain the unity of the composition without losing the functionality of the interior.

Architect Julia Ostapenko: “The customer formulated his wish in this way: the interior should resemble a place where for many years material and spiritual values accumulate, and family traditions are carefully preserved. A heterogeneous subject series required a compromise approach to the choice of a stylistic basis. ”
