The use of fruits and vegetables is a current trend ... in floristics. Especially when it comes to birthday in the summer, and the birthday men are cheerful and fresh.

Cetus wants something fresh and light, like a breath of breeze. This image inspired decorator and florist Julia Shakirov to create two designs in a light green color scheme. They are made not only and not even so much from flowers, as from ... vegetables. Julia used cucumbers, leeks, garlic, turnips. All these are different shades of green: light green, grassy, olive. The compositions are placed in transparent glass vases of various sizes and types: some resemble cups, others - flowerpots. The vases, in their turn, stand on mirror supports, due to which myriads of reflections are created — a fabulous, mysterious world.

Both designs were intended for birthday celebrations. One (for a country cafe) consisted of compositions on the tables and at the counter at the entrance. It involved cucumbers, leeks, and from flowers, callas and peony roses. The second (in the floating restaurant "Swallow") was a complex table decor for several dozen people. Here, Julia came up with two large central compositions, woven over with orchid vines surrounded by smaller groups. The florist says that in either case, the customers were men, and their main message was to see something unusual. In addition, it was supposed to be stylish and spectacular. “And yet,” Julia admits, “I wanted to convey the mood of youth, the desire to take new heights, experiment and take risks.”
