New Petersburg club "Island" (Lieutenant Schmidt Embankment, 37) from the first days of its existence has become one of the most fashionable in the city. And it is no coincidence. After all, in addition to the well-tailored “form”, the club is also notable for its rich technical content. The literary background of his image, usually accompanying objects of this kind, is simple. This is a traditional story about the wrecked mariners who have found salvation on the island. According to the owners, “Ostrov” should become not only a place of active night rest, but also a base for preparing DJs. Therefore, he is most equipped with professional equipment. This circumstance complicated the work of architects. In addition to creative tasks, they had to be guided by increased requirements for acoustics and sound insulation. Describing the interior of the club "Island", will have to at least twice use the word "for the first time". Thus, for the first time in Russia, a unique stage design was used here (it is also a dance floor), which can rise, fall, be filled with real rain and be swept away by artificial snow according to the scenario of the show program. Such a scene design is only in Riga. In addition, for the first time in St. Petersburg, a room for relaxation appeared in the club space - chelaut, from English. tell out (this idea is already familiar to Moscow party-goers). Perhaps it is this room that most corresponds to the name of the club. Tiny island lost in the ocean is covered with sparkling plastic sand. Under the canopy of fake palm trees, shimmering with fluorescent paint, woven hammocks are jiggling around and around - a manifesto of a new lifestyle. No need for words. Everything has been said. Here you are especially keenly aware of Gauguin, who exchanged the benefits of civilization for earthly paradise.
