Advanced design attracts lighting effects and optical illusions. Tired of the world overloaded with material things, he seeks to capture the elusive and embody the immaterial

Design expands the scope of their interests. Not less than the world of material things, he is interested in optical illusions, light effects, the world of smells and fragrances: designers develop perfume lines for the home, study the physical properties of light and mimic the rainbow effect. This is one of the most sought-after techniques, it combines today's pastel palette, the theme of the gradient and sunshine. A couple of years ago, radiant colors and iridescent colors appeared on the catwalks in the collections of Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Blumarine and other fashion brands, and then interested in the subject design and architecture. Designers imitate the radiance of a rainbow in textiles, polymers, metals, glass and with enthusiasm scientists study the physics of the light spectrum. Architect Philip Ram, known for his interdisciplinary experiments at the intersection of psychology, architecture and ... meteorology, created Spectral Light for ARTEMIDE. By changing the length of the electromagnetic waves and activating different parts of the light spectrum, he managed to simulate different types of artificial light, the most suitable for people and animals, plants and birds. Recently, designers are working not so much on new forms, Philip Ram explains, as on the creation of light, which with its physical properties can positively influence a person’s health and emotional state. However, this does not prevent them from simultaneously enjoying the beauty of the light spectrum. Transparent rainbow overflows perfectly conveys such material as glass (masterfully the effect of the rainbow beat Patriche Urquiola in her collection for GLAS ITALIA). Their “disembodiedness” and seeming fragility remind us of the elusive, sometimes elusive nature of beauty.
