This interior in the Art Deco style is distinguished by a detailed elaboration, playing on nuances and things of author's design.

Anna Agapova: “The interior of the modern European style with elements of Art Deco. The forms inherent in American furniture are too straightforward and harsh in the context of a small apartment, so we used English objects, which are characterized by softer plastics and smooth lines. Much attention was paid to textiles: tactilely pleasant, enveloping textures (velor, velvet) made the space cozy, homely. ”

The interior of this Moscow apartment was created under the influence of customers — a young married couple with a small child. “Customers immediately set before us the task of creating an interior in the art-deco style,” says Oleg Klodt. “They saw several of our works in magazines (we successfully implemented various variations on this style in many of our projects) and turned to us under the impression of seen A prerequisite was the presence of dark wood and light cream walls. American walnut is beautiful wood, it looks expensive and immediately sets a certain stylistic sensation. Generally, Art Deco is a style with a pretense, it subordinates everything around it and requires delicate elaboration and composure. For example, it is impossible to use furniture that is too classic or too modern — there will be a dissonance. Here it is simpler with modern classics: a classic shell with delicate stucco, panels, classic doors and shield parquet can be saturated with anything — both bright and calm objects. Since Art Deco is more complicated, it puts in a narrower framework, you need to create an image inside and out, paying attention to even the smallest details, especially stylistic. ”

A distinctive feature of the interiors from the Oleg Klodt bureau is an individual approach to design. This apartment is no exception, and in a number of others it is very indicative. “The interior is unique due to products designed specifically for it,” Oleg continues. “We try not to repeat, we invent something new every time, we are looking for interesting, undivided furniture. In addition to separate objects, everything else (furniture, doors, decor elements, portals, etc.) is made according to our sketches. In this project, there are original solutions, such as, for example, the hood. The hosts love to cook. But the kitchen is small, and in order to make the working area as spacious and ergonomic as possible, we connected the peninsula to the central part, and the hood was disguised as an art deco ceiling lamp. In general, the main principle of our work is to create an author’s design for each space. The apartment, though small, is comfortable and integral in terms of style and functionality. ”
