Project manager Olga Kushnaryova-Leone: “My strength is in a lot of practical experience, knowledge of special techniques and that I am an expert in classical styles of a fairly wide range. But this project was not easy for us: we rarely do such a lush, slightly redundant variation of the classics. The architectural project has already been completed. We were instructed to create exactly the decoration part, and we gladly plunged into this luxury. This is the case when it is impossible to finish off, otherwise you will miss the common motive, which, in our opinion, was set by our predecessors. In general, it seems to me that we have coped with the challenge. ”
Customers, a couple with a child, prefer the classic style. The mansion even looks like a Gothic castle. Project manager Olga Kushnaryova-Leone continued in the interior of the palace theme, given the exterior. “We received a ready-made house. Our task was to decorate it at the appropriate level, as it was set by the architects who worked before us, ”Olga says.“ We filled the space with luxurious decor, framed classical architecture with dignity ”.
The front dining room and living room are especially lushly decorated: furniture of whimsical, curved forms with rich carved decor, delicate gilding and silvering, crystal chandeliers, silk wallpapers and carpets. More restrained, but no less respectable decorated kitchen and office. Laconic, architectural kitchen furniture in the style of English neoclassical predetermined the general tone of the room, strict and monumental. The only decorative liberty, partly knocking down the official mood, is elegant, flower-like chandeliers with Murano glass pendants. In contrast to the kitchen, dark colors prevail in the office: it is decorated based on the aristocratic English club. As Olga notes, because of the large amount of dark wood in the interior, the interior required active color intervention. For the walls, the designer selected hand-made royal blue wallpapers with gold embossing, and for curtains, silk with a complex historical pattern. In the same range, a sculpted pile carpet with a classic ornament was ordered especially for the cabinet.
“The traditional interior is unthinkable without accessories,” Olga continues. “Therefore, a whole section of the project was devoted to working on the details. For each room, we picked up a whole ensemble of related items. For the kitchen and dining room, ceremonial and everyday china, crystal and silver. For bedrooms and baths — bedding sets and bath accessories. Vases, clocks, photo frames, figurines and boxes — for private apartments. We also paid close attention to textile design. All the curtains in the house are made of the best silk, cotton and decorated with elegant fringe, braid, and handmade tassels. ”
