The May Fair Hotel was built in the 1920s on the lands of the Dukes of Devonshire (in the 19th century in Mayfair, a prestigious area of London, luxurious private mansions were located). In 1927, King George V. himself came to open the hotel. He and his wife were very pleased with the interiors. During its long history, the hotel has repeatedly changed owners. Among them were even movie moguls Denziger brothers, owners of the studio New Elstree. In 2004, the hotel bought the Radisson Edwardian Group, invested millions in the restoration, and now the renewed The May Fair opened its doors to the public.
From the point of view of design, the most interesting in The May Fair are Signature suites: there is a suite named after Elsa Schiaparelli (a famous fashion designer of the Art Deco era), a suite of The Opium designed in the spirit of Far Eastern aesthetics, the suites of The Amarillo, The Azure and others. Each is decorated in its own color range: colors are used predominantly bright, energetically saturated - from pink to lemon yellow. Designers wanted to breathe life into the historic interior, and you can not refuse them to be courageous.
In The May Fair Bar, a team led by Marios Elias comes up with unusual cocktails. There is also a cocktail menu called Flight cocktails. From the cocktails of the Destination Flight line, we recommend Destination London on the basis of vodka with strawberry flavor with strawberries and smoked duck for snacks. There are sets with champagne and whiskey. For example, Johnnie Walker Gold Label is served with salted almonds and chocolate, and Johnnie Walker Blue Label - with cream and licorice candies.
The SPA center offers various treatments, such as mud baths, aromatherapy massages and steam baths using various herbal essential oils. The hotel even has its own ... theater. Premiere film screenings and solemn ceremonies are held here.
