Knitted things surprise no one. And as if knitted? Or as if stitched?

In search of new themes, designers rethink old ones. Knitted texture, for example. And with it, and everything that is somehow connected with cutting and sewing: there were quite a few imitations of stitches — meticulous, like on an already finished product, and made in a hurry, as if the designer “tailor” only tries on, only objects. This was the result of the young German Florian Schmidt’s stool Stitching Concrete. "Stitched" Florian fabric, soaked in concrete (to give it a fortress). The place for such a stool is on a loft terrace or an industrial cafe.

It all started, it seems, with Patrishi Urkioli. Two years ago, the star designer came up with the Biknit chaise lounge for the trendsetter Italian brand Moroso, whose seat resembles a large-knit sweater. "Threads" —from polypropylene with filling from recycled plastic bags. The chaise lounge, by the way, can also be used as outdoor furniture. (I so want to recall that it is already spring, which means that summer is just around the corner!)

Some factories went even further. 1920 Riva at the exhibition in Milan, demonstrated a series of wooden poufs, made in the form of different objects. One can not be distinguished from the present thimble. We look for pseudo-tied upholstered furniture in Zanotta and Kartell. And textiles (!) With prints that imitate knitting, and even such panels for wall decor are from the brand Casalis.
