The architects from the famous Foster + Partners bureau redid everything: they “cleaned” the facade (they removed the late architectural layers, returning the original look of the end of the 19th century to it), added two modern wings, completely changed the interior. The reconstruction of the historical part was done by the London bureau United Designers. Thanks to him, here appeared the most luxurious suite of the hotel - Maestro: two-level apartments in the central tower, whose interiors were restored according to archival sketches. Other top suites are no less remarkable: the design of the Carezza Suite is inspired by the work of the sculptor Alberto Giacometti, the Masina Suite is the Italian cinema of the 50s, and the Suite 100 is made with allusions to the songs of the Rolling Stones and the swinging 60s. The new "shell" also received public areas of the hotel. The contrast between modern restrained and elegant furnishings and old architectural details, such as painted ceilings, is striking (thematic murals; for example, on the ceilings of restaurants there are garlands of flowers and fruits). The kitchen corresponds to the front setting. At The Restaurant, led by chef Heiko Nieder, serves a gourmet menu with an emphasis on European dishes. The Garden Restaurant offers a seasonal menu. In the lobby bar - the traditional five o’clock and jazz in the evenings.

A special theme for The Dolder Grand is the SPA center: ladie’s- and gentelmen’s-zones, a swimming pool, a gym. It offers a variety of health and beauty treatments. Particularly interesting is the Japanese Shiatsu massage with bamboo sticks and Sunaburo - hot volcanic pebbles. The center also has a plastic surgery department.
