Glass cubes and spotty skins, "branchy" steel chandeliers, and next to the real palm trees of the winter garden. The style of this apartment, designed by architects Natalia and Venus Halperin, combines ethnic and ecological motives with high-tech Large, almost square in terms of the hall became the planning core of the apartment. In the center, its architects placed a high curved wooden portal, and in the center of the portal itself - a curious three-dimensional composition: cubes of the same size, arranged in chessboard pattern in four rows. In the upper rows - glass, in the lower - white plastic. And the glass elements of the "designer" turned into showcases for collectible dolls and simply beautiful objects belonging to the owner of the apartment. The whole composition of the portal is reflected in a drop-shaped glass floor. Of course, the role of such a spectacular and large-scale installation is not limited to exposing individual, even the rarest and most beautiful things. Functionally, it works as a partition separating the premises of a private and public area. And aesthetically - this is a kind of abstract sculpture, art object, visible from everywhere, locking on itself all the prospects, in many ways defining the style and image of the apartment. To the left of the central hall is a single, freely unfolding multifunctional space of a public area, which includes a living room, a dining room with a kitchen, as well as a small winter garden for rest, arranged on the site of the former loggia. From the large window of the living room, overlooking one of the quiet streets of the Old Arbat, the light freely penetrates into all rooms without meeting any obstacles anywhere, and, reaching the hall, penetrates the glass cubes of the shop window. Counter luminous flux give windows of private rooms located opposite, on the other side of the portal. In this way, the planning task is to solve the complex task of lighting shaded, elongated rooms and an entrance hall, which has no windows. Due to the soft color range, built on a combination of light ocher, white, brown tones, the apartment seems even lighter and more spacious. At the same time, the impression of monotony does not occur due to several “blows” of active color (dark niche in the living room, white and brown upholstery of sofas, elements from wenge). Reflective steel and glass surfaces emphasize the play of a variety of natural textures.Natalya Halperina: "This apartment very precisely, as it seems to us, reflects the taste and predilections of its owners, their inner world. It was the master collection of dolls that suggested the creation of a showcase wall (one of the brightest elements of the interior). Individual pieces of furniture and furniture chosen by the customer , gave impetus to a number of designer finds. "
