It came to me, oh great king, who once lived in the glorious city of Baghdad, a poor young man ... "- approximately the same way every tale from Thousand and One Nights began in a cunning Scheherazade. And in her story there were angry jinn, lunolic maidens and Maghribes sorcerers. Maghreb! In our imagination, these are bright domes against a blue sky, golden tie of grids and, of course, famous warlocks and wise men. A true embodiment of the East - mysterious, fabulous, mystical. , Mauritania and Western Sahara. But now you can not gaze longingly at the illustrations of Arabian tales. Recently, a new Maghrib appeared in St. Petersburg. This is the name of the new club and cafe. The spirit of the East declares itself on the Europeanized Nevsky Prospect - before entering in the “Maghreb.” For the entrance is guarded by statuettes - two graceful girlish figures, whose tender beauty is hidden from indiscreet looks of the traditional veil. Inside the club - an atmosphere of languid luxury: lancet niches, the shapes of which repeat the backs of chairs, real Moroccan to vry, original gilt lamps and vases. The oriental style was observed so precisely that the sultan Harun al-Rashid, who had looked at the light, would have felt at home here. As for the modern man, having found himself in the Maghreb, he turns at least into the vizier of King Suleiman Ibn David. Before a long (in the East do not like haste!) Dinner, you can play a game of backgammon or chess in the lobby. And you can, sitting on a low couch, start an impressive conversation about the vicissitudes of fate. In addition, sybarites are waiting for a hookah. In order to satisfy hunger, you need to proceed to one of the three halls. For example, in blue. Here, over the turquoise walls hang low arches, covered with blue and gold painting. Moroccan vessels gleam metallicly from the niches, like the magical abode of the jinn. In the club area you can see a gold painting on the ceiling for hours. The illuminated niches behind the thin grid of lattices resemble palace windows. It seems that once you open the gilded shutters, you will see minarets aspiring to the sky.
