Gramophone ... gramophone ... tape recorder ... tape recorder ... discman ... DJ console ... An associative chain immediately appears in your mind as soon as you get into the Gramophone night club that opened two months ago ( Gun Street., 3). The name of the club was in honor of the Chicago music store, although it is more than appropriate, given the genealogy of the premises, sending us a hundred years ago. At the beginning of the century there was a bank here, or rather, a steel pantry, a huge safe. Three rooms with metal doors and thick brick walls covered with iron sheets. Creating the interior of the club, Peter Pasternak retained the atmosphere of brutal asceticism, revealing the texture of the old walls, using for decoration coarse metal, wood, leather. Even new ventilation pipes, covered with a protective composition, are perceived as emanating from time to time. A strange feeling embraces you, if you're lucky, and you find yourself at the club before the party. Powerful walls and stone vaults slumber in anticipation, when at nightfall the heart of the Gramophone Club will be hammered by sabbuffers and the age-old structures, which seem to be unshakable, will tremble from the all-consuming rhythm of music.
