Этот живой, непринужденный интерьер с Victorianи обоями и с гравюрами по мотивам картин Фрагонара объединяет две интерьерные традиции - английскую и французскую

There are interiors that appear not because of, but in spite of. For example, the interior of this apartment in Kiev is very far from a certain “zero mark”, from which the discussion of the style of the future interior began, namely from the loft style. Today this apartment, full of intricate antiquarian things, with classical furniture that only a specialist can distinguish from an antique one, and Victorianи wallpaper, in spirit is absolutely the opposite of a loft - an open space with constructivist "industrial" details. The only thing that bears the imprint of the loft idea is the modern planning solution for the front area: the living-dining room-kitchen space has been decided to be open.

“The layout of this interior is thoughtful and comfortable,” says the author of the project, the architect. Tatyana Dmitrenko. - The central hall is strung on an axis, which serves as a “watershed” between private and main rooms. And private, in turn, are divided into two separate parts: the first includes two children's bedrooms with their own bathroom and dressing rooms, the second - the parents' bedroom, bathroom, dressing room. ”

Modern layout does not conflict with Victorian decor. After all, no one set the task to create an exact styling, just needed a cozy, habitable apartment - what is called an interior with history. Yes, there is a wallpaper with Victorianи roses, walnut wall panels, leather sofas and tables in the neoclassical style, so beloved by generations of Englishmen, but there are also engravings from Fragonard’s paintings, French antique clocks, and botanical drawings (which in the 18th century became fashionable throughout Europe but today they are more associated with Provence). There is an impression of eclectic interior; it is supported by a luxurious baroque console in the hall. But the eclecticism of this light, pleasant, unobtrusive - in the framework of a given interior story about a European house, in which lived several generations of one family. This interior is in order to actively inhabit it, creating its own, individual interior history.

Tatyana Dmitrenko: “We wanted to make an interior with history, to create the illusion that generations of one family lived here. The basis we took Victorian style».Vitaly Dorokhov: “Modern furniture in classic styles is combined with antique accessories here, and together they create the feeling of a habitable, cozy home.”
