The watch salon Imperial on Bolshoi Prospekt, 46, became the fifth in a row of boutiques of the same name in St. Petersburg. According to the authors of the project, the style of the interior should have become not a goal, but a means designed to ensure the most advantageous supply of goods: in addition to the main exhibition, the salon paid attention to luxury watches. It is clearly dominated by postmodern techniques based on a neoclassical basis: showcase cabinets of expressive forms, developed plasticity of space, based on the smooth flow of volumes. The already classic combination of steel and wood slightly “dilutes” plastic, reminding that humanity tends to adjust its list of values.
