Ecodesign is not a new theme. But if earlier it meant primarily the use of natural materials, now this concept is much broader. Designers seek inspiration in natural forms. Moreover, they reproduce them literally. For example, the surrealist sculptor Karla Tolomeo created a sofa-sink for the SICIS brand. Understand that it is not real, you can only upon closer inspection, when you can see the folds of velvet and pieces of mosaic, replacing the mother of pearl. The initiator of the eco-theme, Paola Navone, invented for RIVA 1920 a whole “mycelium” —puffs of Fungo (from Italian the name translates as “Mushroom”). And indeed, the resemblance is amazing.
