Vadim Kalinich, for his ability to create super-economical interiors, was jokingly christened friends by friends. Indeed, on the one hand, the architect tries to preserve as much open space as possible in his projects, on the other hand, in order to achieve the illusion of maximum efficiency, he uses the most expensive materials The dialogue of the architect with the customer is the beginning of any project. In this case, the architect Vadim Kalinich was lucky. He was given absolute freedom and offered to make a home for himself. For talented people, temptation by liberty usually disciplines and binds. Therefore, the design was very sensitive. The interior of this three-room apartment embodied the charm of the hostess, the owner's addictions, the joy of their offspring, and the friendly jokes of the author of the project. In order to visually enlarge a typical three-room apartment, the architect replanned the space. The corridor, kitchen and living room combined into a large studio, and the bedroom was expanded at the expense of the balcony. To achieve the desired effect, it was necessary not only to push the walls apart, but also to minimize the entire interior decoration. Some structural details — concrete ceilings and load-bearing beams — were turned into design elements. So, one of the accents in the living room was a ventilation shaft, covered with galvanized steel. Its heavy mirror reflection is divided into numerous vertical strips of a glass screen separating the living room area from the corridor. A transparent grid of poster with the image of a smiling housewife is stretched on the stripes. You can see this fleeting photo smile only from a certain point. But to find this point is not an easy task ... In the bedroom, the designer supported the game with decorative details: murals on the walls imitate hidden wiring and stencil designations of engineering communications. By the same rules were chosen and curtains. In this case, the search for the architect and the aesthetic preferences of the owner, whose business is related to textiles, absolutely coincided. Expensive elegant curtains made of natural silk with itch appearance resemble ... construction oilcloth. The nursery differs from the “adult” rooms in that the creative contradictions in it are minimized. In the color range dominated by calm greenish tones. The involvement of the interior to the overall style of the apartment is manifested only in the design of ceilings. They, like the rest of the house, are a cement surface hidden from the eyes by pendant lamps made of wood and frosted glass. Vadim Kalinic: “Unlike people who dream of hiding in their home from the city noise, monotonous urban constructions, my customers and I are in love with the city.”
