"Interior Tuning" - we offer you this method for consideration in the author's design of the architectural studio "A + A" and architect Alexey VyazminovSalon: Alexey, how did it all begin? - Very different people come to us, to whom we sometimes look for a long time and look for a common language. And then there came a man who glowed with his cordiality, and we realized that he was initially ready for an experiment, and we, in turn, were ready to offer him bold ideas ... It was instantly aroused sympathy. In fact, in the work on the interior is very important to "match" with the client. Not in the sense of taste, but in a certain psychological aspect. The client in itself was an extraordinary person: he preferred avant-garde style in clothes and turned out to be a big fan of “urban racing”. So, he proudly showed his tuned sports car. And the fact that a person wants to expose and exposes his car to deep tuning, speaks about such a line as readiness for experiment ... And we realized that he is capable of experiments and in terms of design.S: And what was the project plan? - The initial task was more than simple: he wanted to make a three-room apartment from a two-room apartment. The useful area of the purchased apartments was 92 meters at the beginning. In the final, there were already 105 of them. If we take the American system of measuring the "power" of living space as a basis (and there the prestige of the apartments is measured by the number of bedrooms), then in this case the "power" of the apartment was doubled.S: And where is the "engine"? - Yes, this is the initial point of any tuning. In this case, the "engine" in the form of a central living room was forced, acquiring a circular shape that was not previously provided. Thanks to the circle, we combined three living areas: bedroom, dining-kitchen and hallway. The living room before the reconstruction was a bulky parallelepiped, predictably connected to the corridor and kitchen, and there was also an exit to the loggia. Without reducing the living room area, we managed to carve out another bedroom at the expense of the loggia. Then, in order to reduce to a minimum the “ground clearance” of a rather long and unattractive corridor, a dressing was placed there, perfectly fitting from a semantic point of view (dressing is a large wardrobe). One of the impromptu elements of tuning was the laundry in the guest bathroom (it did not fit there). Moreover, given the small size of the guest bathroom, the washing machine had to be put on a special podium in order to increase the usable area. As for the chip-tuning (replacement and improvement of the electronic filling), then we must admit, not without pride, that we filled this apartment with the latest electronics - from the bus lighting system, which is fully adjustable both in its individual parts, and in general from one console, to fully equip the kitchen area with Gaggenau appliances.S: How do you define a general interior style? - In general, we never work in any particular distinct areas, just as we never give unconditional preference to fashionable colors. We have a "life" aesthetics. But in this case, I would say that the interior is designed in a style close to minimalism. But not to the militant version of it, but to minimalism in its most life-affirming "condition" - soft.S: How long did the work on this interior? - As always, about five months. And as a result, we managed to make a big “sports car” from a small “flat — an ordinary car”. And, on reflection, adds: "Quadruple".Alexey Vyazminov: “I think we have invented a new architectural technique - interior tuning. The interior creation algorithms are similar to a car upgrade. We acted by analogy: increasing engine power - increasing area; aerodynamic body kit — finishing coatings; chip tuning — technical modernization ... "
