The interior of the new cafe “Dandy” on the New Arbat in Moscow, the architects decided to make it somewhat ironic. It turned out a kind of mix from different styles: classic sofas, armchairs, dressers, a fireplace are combined with industrial lamps, open ventilation pipes on the ceiling and concrete supporting columns decorated with round table tops. “The basis was the principle of“ honest ”interior: if the columns are real, if it is wood, then it is rough, with chips and cracks, - says the architect Maria Demidova. - From design solutions - home-made TVs, suspended on chains, a rack of drawers, railings and fences of reinforcement, brick steps of the stairs ... Everything is a little worn, aged and as if touched by time. In Dandy there are no dominant colors - patinated wooden furniture (cabinets along the stairs, a bar, tables) and multi-colored, various-patterned armchairs and chairs, lots of greenery and decorative color accents. ”
