Dmitry Bykov: “We designed this house as a cozy home nest. The owners had an adult son and a little daughter, but while we were building, another child was born. They are quite young people, but already accomplished in life and more striving for stability than for experiments. Therefore, we have proposed a variant of modern country, where there are a lot of natural materials, in particular wood and brick. But in order not to leave the interior too conservative, it was diluted with elements of industrial aesthetics ”
Customers bought a house in the village on the shore of the Istra reservoir. Outside — a finished building, inside — bare walls. The architects from the DIA Bureau needed to equip the space, make redevelopment and eliminate engineering problems. The owners did not have a clear picture of the interior style (the preferences were rather vague and contradictory). The architects decided to push off from the idea of a family hearth and environmental issues.
“In the house in the country, I want to see first of all natural, natural materials,” says Dmitry Bykov. “First of all, the tree is a warm, cozy, time-tested material. Especially in our country, where the tree has been used for centuries. We also love him very much, so we apply it even in city apartments. But in the country house, it begs itself. ”
The tree in the interior is present everywhere: beams, stairs, wall panels, flooring, storage systems and furniture made of oak and pine wood. “Of course, this material sets a certain tone,” Dmitry continues. “With its abundance it was important not to cross the border between“ many ”and“ too much ”. In addition, we took into account the young age of the owners and sought to ensure that the internal space looked relevant and unbroken. Another theme of the design was the industrial theme. A massive fireplace lined with black steel sheets with rivets, copper lamps, chrome-plated metal parts brought a modern sound to the interior. ”
