Kharkiv architect and designer Yuriy Rytovtov says that the interior of the consulting firm he made is an experiment with the concept of total emptiness. More precisely, the experience of filling the total emptiness with the author's "I". Yuri Rontovt makes objects and furniture made of wood and builds clay houses, in one of which he lives. His experiments with natural forms and materials have long gone beyond the artistic and went into the category of philosophical search. So the interior of the Kiev office built by him was completely subordinate to this search. Wooden tables and chairs, more similar to art objects than utilitarian objects, "dictated" the volume to the architect. The room in the old house had to be cleaned up to the brickwork, the walls were plastered and painted anew white ... Wood, white plaster, graphic patterns on furniture and walls and bright spots were painted with natural motifs. It would seem that a set of decorative techniques is obvious. And yet the effect of this clean, very simple and at the same time very difficult space cannot be explained in a nutshell. At least without philosophy.
