The most important part of any respected fashion boutique is not the glam fitting and fancy hangers, but simply the open space - the place where the shows are held. Ideally, the notorious podium. But, as they say, our desires do not always coincide with our capabilities. In the mono-brand boutique GIANFRANCO FERRE (Rostov-on-Don, Sokolov Ave., 21) this empty space in the amount of 10 meters in a straight line was not there: both one and the other rooms are small, especially on different floors . The problem seems to be insoluble. But architect Andrei Doinitsin, the author of the interior, managed to find an elegant and successful solution. They turned the podium into a ... staircase, placing it strictly in the center and highlighting it with color and light. The staircase was faced with black polished stone and illuminated from all sides with soffits. It turned out very stylish. For greater efficiency, the ceiling and columns were painted red. The result is also impressive because this avant-garde interior fits very harmoniously into the architecture of the house itself, built by the Rostov classic of Soviet constructivism by architect M. Kondratiev.
