Imitation of the exterior in the interior - one of the most pressing topics of recent years. Lawn shops are turning green in trendy shops, in cafes and restaurants you can see the most unexpected exterior objects - from locomotive nodes to living trees. In private interiors, designers arrange stone gardens from bathrooms, and in living rooms install life-size copies of Atlantes ... In line with this fashionable trend, architects from Samara Dmitry and Maria Khramovyi designed a vintage chocolate shop and Melodies of Paris coffeehouse in nearby Tolyatti. A new tea and coffee establishment in the Rus shopping center is one of the most conceptual projects in the Volga region, which recently has a solid reputation as a supplier of fresh architectural ideas. The central compositional element in the store is a plastic display case, as if broken in the middle. This is an independent object, around which a trade space is being formed: at the level of a “gap” opposite to this peculiar sculptural composition glass cubes embedded in the walls are located. They explicitly hint at street windows. The store should resemble the terrace of a Parisian cafe, so the wrought-iron tables and chairs stand on the granite pavement, and the lighting imitates the urban twilight. Actually, the layout should remind the visitor of a narrow Parisian street: the store walls connect two entrances (the inner one is from the shopping center and the outer one is from the street). The main trick, invented by architects, is a show on the walls of the place. Seven video projectors simultaneously broadcast videos and slide projections with views of Paris and France, as well as videos from Parisian cafes. The authors say that they wanted to create a "virtual capsule", an interior where the physical and the virtual will be in a sharp dialogue, creating a visitor effect.
