Hosts Serenity ("Serenity"), Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Stewart dreamed of a "thoroughbred" yacht. They argued for a long time in what color to paint it. With regard to the deck and superstructures everything was clear - cream. But Mr. Stewart's body wanted a dark blue, the spouse insisted on a dark green one. The hostess prevailed. Otherwise they were unanimous. The design of the ship was fully entrusted to Don O'Keefe, the leading shipbuilder of the solid American company BURGER BOAT, which launched hundreds of merchant and military ships. One of the main difficulties were the size of the yacht. To get to the house of the Stuarts, she must make her way under a bridge about six meters high. After Mr. Stuart demanded to install a special radar and several antennas, the problem seemed insoluble. Engineers had to invent a sophisticated double hydraulic mast. Meanwhile, the owners, entrusting technical issues to specialists, themselves enthusiastically engaged in interior decoration. The task for designers they formulated as follows: sophisticated classic with a French accent. To create a proper atmosphere in the decoration, without being stingy, they used mahogany, gilding, semi-precious stones, silk and tapestries. Especially carefully thought out interior cabin. In the openings between the large windows, wooden pilasters are arranged, and cornices are decorated with medallions. The decoration of the ceiling was done personally by Mr. Stewart. A spouse, meanwhile, took an active part in the development of the pattern for the carpet. Furniture in the cabin is arranged freely, as if you were not on a yacht, but in the most ordinary overland living room. This is an illusion. All items, of course, secured, as it relies on ships. Although, perhaps this was not a great need. After all, in the end, the Stuart couple was not going to storm the raging seas.
