The new Kiev restaurant "Ikra" designed Gianfranco Bortolotti, having specially arrived in Ukraine for this. And he came up with the name. “Firstly, a fish restaurant,” says the architect, “secondly, any foreigner can say that word, and thirdly, the word caviar is a symbol of wealth and well-being.” Having completely “cleared” the space from the former restaurant “Mangal”, maestro Bortolotti began to paint the walls in black. I must say that minimalism is the favorite style of the Italian architect. Therefore, all bearing concrete columns were exposed and left as is. The brightest zone was a showcase with caviar and all kinds of fresh fish under glass, thanks to a single chandelier SWAROVSKIhanging right above the fish dishes.

Address: Kiev, st. Pankovskaya, 11.
