Trisha Guild, founder of textile brand Designers Guild- A woman with a fragile figure, a quiet shy voice and an iron character. She still loves India, creates two collections a year, and is happy to talk about another discovery she made

To truly understand what this woman has done, you have to look back. And remember that 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago she was on the planet alone. For a long time, in the world of elite things, there existed their own ideas about taste, elegance, and pattern. Especially in England, where Tricia started and continues her journey - a fabric designer, decorator, and stylist.

For lovers of the exotic, there were flea markets, antique shops and antique rags from chests. Trisha also offered her own smart fabric collections, similar in color to Indian films, as the basis for the interior. In 2008 Trisha Guild стала кавалером ордена Британской империи за заслуги в области интерьерного дизайна. Рассказывая о новой коллекции Barсelona на январской выставке Maison&Objet в Париже, Trisha Guild talks about the most important in her perception of life:

- The most important for me was and remains the color. Once I suggested bright, uncompromising colors for home textiles - lemon, turquoise, cyclamen, black, saffron, violet ... Since then, I have not changed my taste. Twice a year there are new collections. This time, for example, I added graphite gray and black to the complex color of lime. Mixing stiff geometric patterns and flowing flowers gives a good contrast - the strong emotional tension that will give the interior strength, character, and individuality. The interior should surprise, excite, carry some message about a person. I recommend changing the "clothes" of the interior quite often. Anyway, sometimes it's worth doing. You will feel when this moment has arrived.
