But the final choice of style fell on Art Deco: the customer was told that it was very fashionable. And already in the process of designing the apartment owner got acquainted with this brilliant style and gradually got into the tasteSALON: Michael, how did the choice of style occur? Aritector Mikhail Dautov talks about his work on the project. - Considering that the house itself was built with a claim to some replicas of classical architecture and that there is a solid classic behind the windows (the house is next to the Old Arbat), it was logical to see a continuation of the classic theme in the interior. And we did the classics. I prepared ten layouts, the customer made his choice. The work was in full swing. A few months later he calls and asks about Art Deco ... Of course, I was pleased. Art Deco is a more modern style, it seems to me that you can feel free here for the reason that that era has not far left us. My teachers found this time, and at least according to their impressions and stories, according to the school of these masters, I, and my generation as a whole, can somehow somehow feel this style. Therefore, Art Deco is closer to me. It is easier than creating an interior in the style of the Pushkin era, where you have to reproduce everything with museum thoroughness.S: Art Deco did not interfere with the layout got from the classics? - Planning here generally turned out the American type. The customer initially liked this idea: you go in and get into the salon. Here you and the living room, and cinema, and dining. This predilection of Russian customers for such planning appeared simultaneously with the series. Only in the series, the kitchen-dining room-living room is placed in the same room from the savings on decoration, and we have the opposite.S: How did you select the furniture, because here not everything is Art Deco in its pure form? - Of course not. Art Deco in this sense is a very lively style, here you can build an interior with the help of modern objects, you do not need to be an antiquary. At the same time, it is important to choose things that have been tested by time and have become to some extent modern classics.
