This Baku apartment originally had its zest: a magnificent view of the city boulevard and the Caspian Sea. Now, thanks to the thoughtful organization of space, the seascape is viewed from almost anywhere in the apartment. About the nuances of the layout (and not only) tells the designer Vadim BoroboninAbout space "The planning solution briefly boils down to the following: at least partitions, maximum large openings, instead of part of the load-bearing walls - separate powerful pillars. So that light and air could easily penetrate into all rooms from the kitchen to the hallway, we turned the apartment into a kind of spatial structure retaining the known autonomy of each room, the latter is achieved primarily through the glass sliding doors separating, for example, the kitchen from the living-dining room and the entire public area from the entrance hall. “Permeable walls that can fade and appear as needed play an important role in the organization of the living environment.”About style "Both in the color scheme and in shaping, we aimed for maximum conciseness. Alternation of dark and light planes (rather graphic, than pictorial technique), use of simple geometric forms in the design of floors, shades, furniture ... Similar techniques make the apartment style close to traditions functionalism (actual to this day). But in some elements of the interior one can also find remote echoes of art deco, for example, in massive pillars-pylons decorated with large rust, or in the design of decorative lampshades. "There are no direct quotes from Art Deco or any other style."About the material "The decoration function in this apartment is performed by materials. In the decoration of the walls, inserts made of genuine leather or black ebony look impressive; polished stone, textiles, and wenge look in the floor covering. By the way, wenge is not only covered in floors, but also in some rooms. For example, in the dining room, where the dark brown color of the tree contrasts with the milky white walls of the adjoining living room and light ocher of the carpet. This admiring material is inspired in part by the reminiscence of Art Deco, and partly by functionalism, cultivators Avshe taste for rich texture. Anyway, the beauty and variety of expensive materials - the same integral part of the image of this apartment, as conciseness and rationality of forms. "Vadim Borobonin: "In this project we set ourselves a double task. On the one hand, to achieve unity of style and integrity of space (primarily in the premises of the public zone). On the other, through decorative nuances show individuality and originality of every corner of the apartment.
