This small apartment (a little over 70 sq. M.) Belongs to a girl. The hostess wanted to see high-tech and glamor in her interior. Her wish became a point of reference. True, hi-tech (style, too brutal in this context) as a result was refused. And they turned to softminimalism, which is so “soft” here that it merges with glamor.
The architect has created minimalist designs of black colored glass. He encircled the L-shaped opening between the living room and bedroom, and on the ceiling in the hallway reinforced rectangular design of the glass. Black glass reflects the outlines of objects, like deep water. This is a more sophisticated solution than a regular mirror; however, it also has a large mirror in a silver frame over the sofa in the living room. “Matte silver surfaces,” says the author of the project, “are, in my opinion, the ideal companion for shiny black surfaces. (The idea is also reflected in the pieces of furniture that we selected; in particular, in the design of the black cabinet with silver butterflies.) For this, in the living room one of the walls is decorated with wallpaper with a silver pattern, while the others are covered with a purple-pearl finish. Noble shades of lilac and lavender - from light to thick, rich - the third component of the interior palette.
Classic eaves and pylons are partly a tribute to the historical past at home, and partly a postmodern game with time and styles. The same can be said about the furniture. This is a modern look at the classics, fantasy on classic themes. “Among the modern furniture there is one armchair inherited from the great-grandmother’s mistress,” says the architect. - The hostess, by all means, wanted to see him in her house. Now it is restored and re-enchanted, and a layman will not distinguish it from its modern counterparts. And this is also part of the postmodern game. ”
Here there is also furniture of emphasized modern, minimalistic forms, for example, a kitchen or a chest of drawers in the bedroom, completing the theme of the continuity of eras. Everything echoes everything, forming a beautiful polyphony: silver - with gray velvet, black glass - with black lacquer, gray-lavender curtains - with a sofa, walls and furniture ... A beautiful example of harmoniously executed eclecticism.
