What is geotextile?
This material is a woven or knitted fabric, characterized by great strength, which is obtained by interlacing polymer threads at an angle of 90 degrees. This process is done on special machines. Besides, there is and nonwoven geotextiles - is a canvas, which is obtained as a result of the bonding of polymer filaments into a coherent whole by means of thermal or chemical exposure. Also in its manufacture can be used the method of punching needles.
The technical characteristics of this canvas, as well as the properties and scope of application, directly depend on the method of its manufacture and on what components were used. It is sold in rolls with a width of 1.5 to 5.5 m, and the length is usually 50 to 150 m. The density of the fabric may be different, but the higher it is, the stronger the material, which means it will last much longer.
