Jewelry collection. Lara Bohinc. Solaris

British designer of Slovenian descent Lara Bohinz recently opened her first showroom in Notting Hill, London. Prior to that, she launched her own brand of jewelry, managed to work with Gucci, Lanvin and Cartier, to finish the Royal College of Art.

She confirms her motto as a piece of jewelry - the choice of material and limited edition. Among the range of Lara stands out coffee sliding table "Solaris", which she designed in 2014, together with Lapicida. "Solaris" is made to order for 9-10 weeks and costs 51,011 euros.

New chairs Lara - Orbit, Solar and Lunar - continue the space theme. Finding inspiration in planetary and lunar orbits, whose curved trajectories tell the lines and shapes to her objects, Lara built things on a thin metal profile. They are elegant, minimalist, light. Chairs are made by hand in a small Italian workshop. Materials: polished steel and textile upholstery.

Matter of Stuff is a London-based modern design gallery founded in 2014, reflecting the activities of e-commerce and online galleries. The co-founders Simona Auteri and Sofia Steffenoni co-ordinate a community of designers, manufacturers, image makers and journalists to promote a culture in which craftsmanship is the basis of all creativity.
