DIMA LOGINOV Russian designer. Designs for Artemide, VitrA, Studio Italia Design, Axo Light. Items created by Loginov’s design adorn not only private residences, but also commercial spaces: Starbucks coffee houses, luxury restaurants and hotels (Hilton in Tallinn, Hotel Zetta in San Francisco). Winner of international awards, among which are the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award, the International Design Award, the Best of Year Awards, the Artemide “Best Lighting Design” competition and many others.

His quick start career is a dream come true for Russian pros. “I began to engage in object design by chance. From childhood I was always making some kind of furniture, but it was impossible to imagine that my items would appear on the pages of magazines, in stores around the world. I went to study at an interior designer at the International School of Design. Participated in the competition in the category "Object Design", made the lamp, for which he received first place. It struck me that someone liked my thing. A year later, I made a carpet for the competition and won the Grand Prix. And then I realized that I should take seriously the fact that I am so fascinated in design. Since then, I have been doing only the creation of objects and released twenty-one collections. There has never been such a person from whom I would like to adopt a part of philosophy, skill and technology. Despite the fact that designing feeds me, I did not perceive it as a business or even as a job. For me, this is a study, a journey.

I get to know myself and the world through design. So why do I need other people's patterns of behavior, other people's views? I never ask anyone for advice, including design masters. But it gives me great pleasure to watch what they do. If there is no computer at hand, I must quickly sketch the idea. Otherwise, just forget. Then I model in 3D (I do not show sketches to producers, they see all the ideas only in three-dimensional visualization). We stand on the threshold when the retrostyle in design leaves. And of course, the lighting companies will be one of the first to react to this, as they are more dynamic, they are rebuilt faster than furniture manufacturers. It's difficult to say which way the pendulum of the trends will swing. Most likely, it will again be minimalism. ”
