“Designer's Days” -2017 are democratic - there are almost no closed events, many brands obviously skimp on the event. A minimum of big names, a maximum of invitations to opening days and nocturnes. Instead of the month - the first two weeks of May. Of course, there are important awards, like the Audi Talent Awards (70,000 euros), the Russian debut at the Biennale Révélations, or the loud sale - Grande Braderie du Design - more than 1,000 registered items sold at great discounts on May 11-13 with the support of Philippe Starck. But, in general, the opening of D'Days coincided with the avant-premiere of the Venice Biennale and the most important for European dealers of collectible design events - Frieze Art Fair, Tefaf and NYCxDesign in New York. There were those who gladly preferred the Giorgio Pace and Nicolas Bellawans-Leconte to the Parisian Parkour D'Days - a luxury limited edition exhibition at the Villa of Karl Lagerfeld in Monaco.
