Bisazza: mosaics from laviani and mendini

The Italian brand Bisazza is confidently expanding personalized collections. In 2017, the Bisazza assortment was enriched with mosaics from Ferruccio Laviani, Alessandro Mendini and Kiki van Eyck, as well as personal wooden parquet and floor cement tiles. Laviani proposed new mosaic patterns called Arzigogolo, André, Albert, George and William. Scottish cells, decorative patterns inspired by the works of Andre Arbus and Joe Ponty, the hypnotic graphics and wave-like motifs of the 1930s are included in the templates from Ferruccio Laviani, which in many respects resemble textiles.

Maestro Alessandro Mendini developed three patterns: Granada, Ferrara and Louisiana. “Mosaic patterns are created on the basis of three decorative motifs with geographical references to specific cultures. They resemble Italian, Arabic and Scandinavian rhythms and recreate the classical idea of ornament, ”Mendini says.
