When a living room combines the functions of a home cinema and the living room itself, the room is usually divided into two zones - a dining room and a movie theater. The fact is that the plasma panel is conveniently located on the podium, which allows guests not to miss what is happening on the screen. For the same purpose, the wall divided into multi-colored squares is slightly tilted. Bright lockers resembling a tetris game hide DVDs. The glass stand on aluminum legs creates the illusion that the equipment is floating in the air. The light of a ball-shaped lamp is harmonious and soft. And the installers took care of the good sound, which did not ignore any corner of the living room. All furniture is made to order by Moscow masters. And upholstered furniture, and tables, and colorful cabinets. Laconic, comfortable, functional. By the way, the task of multifunctionality is solved so successfully that the living room begins to perform tasks already not assigned to it - for example, the younger son, having his own room, prefers to study and relax here.

SALON: Classic home cinema in a cozy living room ... Have any changes been made to the architect's design project at your request?

Vyacheslav Pazdnikov: No, no changes were made to the project. On the contrary, we had to adapt ourselves. For example, repainting speakers in silver, so that they are more successfully combined with the interior. And the cinema, in my opinion, really turned out to be very cozy.

S: What caused the choice of acoustics JAMO?

 - Our client liked the set of speakers of this particular company. And we thought that we could adjust the sound to suit his preferences. We succeeded.

S: Acoustic system of the central channel is shifted to the right relative to the axis of symmetry of the cinema. This is normal?

 - Yes, I think this is absolutely normal in this room. In addition, the speaker fits perfectly into the rack with video and audio equipment.

S: Why plasma and not a video projector? Not enough dimensions of the living room (small projection distance)?

 - Plasma panel is selected from purely practical considerations. Bright plasma does not require darkening of the room, and a video projector, which is critical to external illumination, is better placed in a separate room, which from the very beginning is supposed to be home theater.

S: Видеомагнитофон в системе отсутствует. Зато есть экзотическая по нынешним временам вещь - отдельный FM / AM tuner. Чем это обусловлено? Хозяева любят "слушать радио в хорошем качестве"?

 - Yes. This was a special wish, since the built-in tuner in this modification of the AV receiver PIONEER not.

S: Do you think there is a future for such theatrical systems where all the equipment is on display? Or will they be replaced by "built-in" and "smart home"?

 - I think the "integration" - rather, a forced, compromise solution. The quality of embedded technology, of course, is growing from year to year, but it can solve far from all problems. Component Hi-Fi equipment for good sound and image has no alternative yet.
