In place of the old Moscow club "Kakadu" a restaurant Calvados has recently opened (Leninsky Prospect, d. 28). Irina Mavrodiyeva and Arthur Gogh position their new object as a replica of Art Deco. Dark wood, gilding, maroon-brown tones, soft stylish furniture, designer lamps and a curtain of dark-honey-colored glass balls (a tribute to the noble drink of Calvados) - this is how the decor of a new respectable restaurant looks. High ceilings allowed the architects to make a balcony, and the restaurant’s space was zoned using podiums so that visitors could feel quite autonomous in such a large room.
