Bali residents without false modesty call their homeland a paradise on earth. Filipinos declaim: the beaches of the archipelago of the same name are the best in the world, not to mention the local cuisine, dancing and so on. Such ambitions are justified: exotic islands are really good. Along with the resort trend a few years ago, they became an interior trend. Its components are wicker furniture, wood carving, inlay with mother of pearl and tortoise shell and a riot of colors. Also required images of tropical flora and fauna.
It makes sense to recreate the “island” interior completely: in the bedroom there is a canopy bed, in the living room there is a wicker sofa and a low coffee table in the form of a giant lizard, in the dining room there is inlaid dishes and textiles with bright floral prints. It is quite difficult to imagine an urban interior in such paints. But in the country house they will be just in place. If the global modernization is still scary, it’s worth starting with some kind of single room. The most spectacular in this design will look like a terrace. The island style is associated primarily with endless summer. In winter, these items will be a pleasant reminder of the sea, the sun and the long-awaited rest. Such an interior will be enjoyed by the inveterate traveler - pictures of distant wanderings will rise before your eyes, and the collector of Asian exoticism - in such an environment, you can safely demonstrate strange overseas trophies.
