Equipment in the interior

Passing the gallery

Magazine: Technol. N10 (99) 2005

How to make home theater take its proper place in the room? Architects know this. Four of them shared creative ideas with the readers of the SALON-interior magazine. What is important - successfully implementedArchitect Oleg Kovalenko1. Architect Alexander Weisfeld2. Cinema in the Provence style “Before, even before the reconstruction of the house, all the elements of a home theater were in the living room along a long wall,” says the architect. - It was very uncomfortable. Therefore, I decided to move the equipment to the end wall. However, leaving it just like that would be strange, since its modern design is in apparent dissonance with the style of the whole house (and the living room in particular). After all, the style of Provence (and the house is decorated in this way) appeals to the past. Therefore, especially for this home theater, I designed an old fireplace made of travertine and metal tinted with rust. Previously, fireplaces were placed in a vase with flowers, and mirrors were hung over the fireplaces. Instead of colors, we have a block of equipment, and instead of a mirror, a plasma panel. ”Architect Yevgeny Polyakov3. Wall of onyx “In the doorway between the living room and the bedroom, we installed glass with onyx effect. The perimeter opening was trimmed with wenge, and the plasma panel and subwoofer were placed on a specially designed oak stand, ”comments Yevgeny Polyakov. Inside it is hollow - there are hidden cables. Oak and wenge contrast beautifully with each other, and at the same time, oak echoes in color with golden glass, and dark wenge - with speakers and a subwoofer.Architect Inna Kozheurova4. Vertically up A rack of glass and steel, designed by Inna Kozheurova, is located between the living room and the kitchen-dining room. While the construction divides the zones, it has one more function - to unite the space vertically. The rack (measuring approximately 3x1.20 m) abuts against the glass ceiling. Since it is also the floor of the second floor, the connection of the spaces is obvious. The drawing on the glass also tends upwards. (The patterns are partially sandblasted, partially cut.) By the way, the panel fastened to the stand can also be lifted higher - the design provides for this.
