Work on the project for the architect Slava Balbek began with a coffee break with a customer representative. The whole process of “hitting the hands” took one cup of coffee, it did not take more time: what was important for the owner, namely, maximum respect for the place where the apartment is located (the house is an architectural monument), functionalism as a leading style, stylish design, absolutely coincided with the tastes and ideas of architects about the living space.

In the process of reconstruction, the architects left the old brickwork since the construction of the house. Against its background, the dining table organically looks like it was assembled from the boards of an old staircase that “lived” once in one of the central parks of Kiev.
