"It is easy to make life heavenly. It is not known how long it will last," Mark Twain said ironically and sadly. "Beverly Hills" received the status of "paradise" in the thirties of the last century. "Paradise" it will remain for a long time, because it keeps in itself the most important thing - the impossible dream of every American to have its own, unlike any other house Sean Connery, Ron Silver and Ron Perelman, Penelope Ann Miller, Jacqueline Kennedy, Fei Denevey stayed here. The Beverly Hills Hotel celebrates weddings and celebrates anniversaries of the most eminent families of the world, in the book of honored guests are kings and presidents. Rumor has it that people like to spend the weekend and the famous mafia (in "Beverly Hills", for example, stopped Al Capone, though under the name Smith). Hundreds of millions of dollars have been invested in the construction and subsequent renovations; any investor seems to be ready to lay the soul to the devil, just to be admitted to the brilliance and glory of this truly living legend of America and its undoubted pride. California has always been a special America in America - the most "non-American" state. Once one of the most prosperous Mexican provinces where the old Spanish aristocracy lived, even after joining the other states, it continued to claim exclusivity. Nature, climate, and even people living in California are completely different from the rest of the country. Despite the terrible earthquakes, the most luxurious villas are built here, the most famous people of the planet live here. And here is the capital of the world of dreams - Hollywood. When Barton Green bought a small parcel in 1907 and called it Beverly Hills, after his former farm in Massachusetts, he was fully aware that he had found a gold mine. In five years, he has already invested half a million dollars in the construction and invites the best hotel managers from Hollywood. Of all the proposed architectural projects, Green focuses on the classic Spanish colonial manor, but builds it on a truly American scale. Investors, just looking at the map (Hollywood is very near!), Willingly sign up for a commercial offer, in which the future handsome man is called "the section of the road between Los Angeles and the ocean." Already in 1920, the hotel is filming a movie with Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. Subsequently, Yves Montand, Marilyn Monroe, Gregory Peck will be filmed here, and Charles Spencer Chaplin will celebrate receiving an Oscar at the hotel. Already in 1942, when the thirtieth anniversary of Beverly Nills was celebrated, it was considered the most prestigious and comfortable on the Pacific coast. Gradually, year after year, "overgrown" with romantic legends, increasing the list of world celebrities staying under his roof, regularly being a film set, The Beverly Hills Hotel acquired in the eyes of residents of the rest of America the halo of the most desirable place on earth where dreams come true. People have saved money for years only to allow themselves to stay at Beverly Hills for at least one night, to touch its walls, hung with signs with their idols. Even the “American democratic” person cannot change the dream of royal luxury and unearthly comfort. “Beverly Hills”, obviously, remains the eternal embodied fairy tale about the beautiful life in which everyone wants to find himself.
